In 2006, a father-daughter duo, Lorenzo and Benedetta Borgogni established Madonna Nera and it was then that their dream became a reality. “The Madonna” is the ancient name of the hilly terrain wrapped in an enchanted landscape where nature and art unite with each other to create the incredible mastery that is the mark of the Tuscan civilization. Today the place hosts a young farm inspired by the profound respect of the traditions of the land and the entrepreneurial spirit. Madonna Nera covers six hectares of vineyards.
Rosso IGT Super Tuscan
Grape Variety: 60% Sangiovese 30% Merlot 10% Cabernet
Tasting Notes: This Super Tuscan presents an intense ruby red color tending to garnet. The nose opens with enveloping hints of ripe plum jam, enriched with pleasant spicy notes. The palate is balanced and structured, with soft tannins that accompany a long and persistent finish.
Rosso di Montalcino DOC
Grape Variety: 100% Sangiovese
Tasting Notes: This opens with aromas vanilla, dark berry, violet and coconut. The medium-bodied palate offers wild cherry, cranberry and oak-driven spice alongside bright acidity and close-grained, mouth-puckering tannins.
Brunello di Montalcino DOC
Grape Variety: 100% Sangiovese
Tasting Notes: It is a gorgeous, fruit-driven wine with superb depth in its plums, dark cherries, herbs and sweet toasted oak. It offers terrific balance in its fruit, structure and acidity, all of which come together in a very pretty and yet powerful package.
